*** Matting will overlap image by 0.25" on each side. The reason for the smaller "actual" opening size is to create a 0.25" overlap on all sides so that the matting sufficiently covers and correctly adheres to the photo or print for proper display. (e.g. the mat opening for an 8 x 10 inch picture will measure 7.5 x 9.5 inches)

This frame would look better in small sizes. Frame looks thin for 20x24 opening. Acrylic not glass for this size. No damage from shipping. A little expensive for what it is.
